What are some of the diseases mosquitoes potentially carry?

Although not all mosquitoes carry potentially deadly diseases, they are known to transmit several lethal diseases. These include West Nile virus, malaria, encephalitis, dengue and yellow fever.

It is important to understand that only the female mosquitoes actually bit. The problem with bug zappers and other mechanical devices that claim to rid an area of insects is that only a small portion of the captured bugs are female. So the most dangerous mosquitoes with the greatest potential for spreading disease are the least likely to eliminated.

What are the advantages of using Patch-Care compared to other mosquito repellents?

Because Patch-Care is natural, nontoxic and is not applied directly to the skin, there are few, if any, side effects. DEET, a popular chemical in many repellents, is actually a poison and can cause allergic reactions and other complications. Creams and sprays based on natural Citronella are safer, but they still have the problem of possibly irritating the skin. All of these creams and sprays also need to be reapplied several times during the day.

Patch-Care provides a high level of protection against mosquitoes for up to 12 hours with one “peel and stick” application. It is safe for everyone, including children and the elderly, and safe for the environment.

What is Citronella Oil?

Oil of Citronella is a natural liquid tonic derived from dried lemon grass that has been used as an insect repellent for over 50 years. It will not harm people, pets or the environment. Rather than a poison that kills animals, Citronella creates a barrier-scent that keeps insects away from humans and other animals.

Is Patch-Care safe to use?

Yes, Patch-Care uses only natural ingredients and is safe for all ages. There are no side effects and PatchCare does not harm the environment.

Is the patch water repellent?

No, the patch is not water resistant. If the patch becomes wet, remove it and apply a new patch to ensure effectiveness.

Can PatchCare be used on children and the elderly?

Yes. Patch-Care does not contain DEET, a pesticide sometimes associated with seizures in children and that may affect those with weak or compromised immune systems. It has only nontoxic, natural ingredients and these do not come into direct contact with the skin, so PatchCare is safe for everyone.

Where and when should I use Patch-Care?

Apply Patch-Care to clothing or furniture in the immediate vicinity whenever you are outdoors and at risk for being bitten by mosquitoes. The patch can be used while camping, hiking, boating, fishing, gardening, while participating in any outdoor sport, on children at playgrounds, for protection during a casual evening stroll – anyplace and anytime you are outside.

How do I use Patch-Care?

Simply tear off the protective film backing and attach the adhesive side of the patch to clothing near your body such as stockings, shirt sleeves, pants, or on outside equipment in the immediate area such as the edge of a picnic table or and a campsite bed.

Can I use the patch directly on my skin?

No, it should not be applied to skin. The patch has been purposely designed to be applied close to the body but not directly on the skin.

How long will I be protected from mosquitoes with Patch-Care?

Each patch repels mosquitoes for up to 12 hours. Effectiveness will vary according to weather conditions, such as wind or other elements. Also, the patch should not be submerged in water.

Can I apply sun block when using Patch-Care?

Yes, apply sun block at any time. Since Patch-Care is not applied directly to the skin, it does not interact with sunscreen or other body lotions. Therefore, there are no problems with possible chemical reactions and body lotions do not affect the repellent’s effectiveness.

How many patches are in each box?

Patch-Care is sold in boxes of 12 individually sealed patches. Each patch lasts up to 12 hours. Just drop a sealed patch into your pocket to be applied when you arrive at your outdoor destination and your ready to go.
